I have decided that I am still doing South Beach, but I am going to start actually counting my calories...I think it will help me not to overeat. I had a major slip-up this past week, and I really want to get back on track. I have been sick for a week, horrible cold and that just seems to give me license to overeat and of course I don't feel like excersising because I can barely breathe. Anyways, I am back on track as of NOW...and I am starting with keeping track:

1 bowl Kashi Go Lean-200
1 bowl of chicken enchilada soup-440
1/2 serving almonds-85
1 south beach diet cookies-100

How funny... I just had the same thought about counting calories a few minutes ago. I know a lot of people love SBD because it isn't very restrictive. But I need a little more restriction to lose what I want to lose at the rate I want to lose it. I've wanted sweets so stinkin' bad lately, and no amount of Crystal Light is going to fix a chocolate craving. I'll keep check on my calories this week too and we'll compare progress next week. (By the way, I'm a 28-year old middle school teacher with a toddler. Weight seems to be a lot harder to lose than it was before I had him!)
