Should've, could've, would've got the grilled white fish,..... but I got the fried white fish. Not a good choice. Tomorrow is another day.

Week one, back on track and it is going well. Some days I need to get a few more calories. By not eating a lot of carbs, I feel satisfied and don't crave snacks and high calorie foods. My goal is to get more protein and good fats for fuel. But all in all, I am starting to feel better again, instead of feeling weighed down. Next goal, get more steps in per day.

Losing 1.6 kg a Week
30 December 2016
I have been reading articles today regarding the benefits of a 10% decrease in body weight. First goal is to get under 200 again, and then my second goal is to reach a 10% decrease. Its good for me to set small goals. Sometimes when I look at the total amount I need to lose, it can be daunting. Another benefit of 10%, the doctor believes it will reverse my mild sleep apnea. Has anyone else had this benefit of weight loss? It will be a great encouragement to hear about your experience.

Well, not keeping track of my food and exercise has not been kind to me. I started back to school in August. It has been a huge adjustment, trying to adjust to having a full-time job and being a full-time student at the same time. I am on Christmas break now, so I thought it was time to slow down, assess the damage (weight) and get back on track. It feels good to be working toward my educational goals again, but with that being said, I also need to work on my physical health. I just recently completed a sleep study and I have mild sleep apnea, enough to make me feel tired and drag all day. I am learning about how weight gain affects sleep and how restless sleep affects weight. It is a horrible cycle, so that is even more motivation to get to a healthy weight.

Gaining 0.4 kg a Week

Carbs do matter, at least for me, especially wheat and sugar. I can watch calories well, but if I have too many simple carbs on a daily basis, my weight stays the same or I gain. Back to being more mindful of carbs. I am experimenting with what works and what doesn't for me. I want a workable lifestyle and not just a diet.
