I've really embraced eating gluten, casein, and sugar free! I also gave up caffeine which has significantly decreased my stress levels. The nutritionist at my gym said to always pair carbohydrates with a protein source because protein reduces the glycemic effect of carbs. Blood sugar levels rise and fall at a slower rate. I have been pairing my high carb snacks with protein, like carrots with almonds, and an apple with hard boiled egg whites. I'm really happy with the progress. 4 more pounds to 70!

Wow 61 pounds! I'm over half way there! I know that the second half of this journey may take twice as long as the first half but I am prepared to see this through. I'm also committed to keeping am active lifestyle, going to the gym 4-5 days per week and continuing to eat healthy. I'm very proud of all of my efforts and I'm honestly amazed with the results, not just the weight but how my fitness level has drastically increased. When I started working out at the gym I had difficulty maintaining a quick walking pace on the treadmill. Now I can run, and run for quite a bit longer then I have ever done before. I'm completing hour long spinning classes. I'm so much stronger than I can ever remember being. I can only imagine what I will be capable of accomplishing once the rest of this weight is gone. :-)

Okay....I weighed in! And I'm glad I did! Made two significant changes.
1) Drank MORE water, less anything that isn't water - namely coffee.
2) ate dinner at least 3 hours prior to bed, no exceptions.
I'm glad I did these two things specifically the water. I drank about 150 ounces per day. I made sure to have at least 12 cold ounces before eating. This is one of Bob Harper's skinny rules. Guess it helps you to fill up more so you eat less. Either way I feel great. The water gives me so much energy.
