Good morning....
Back to work today...sigh....I did not want to leave my bed this morning. I think that I needed more time off.
I have not even stepped onto the scales, I am kinda scared at this point. There was just lots of salt in the foods that I was eating over Christmas (along with sugar and alcohol). Until the new year, I will not be able to get back into the normal way of eating.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Good Morning!
Another cold Alberta morning....brrr.
I am feeling a bit groggy this morning, could be to the fact that last night I got a package from my parents. It was full of yummy stuff for the kids. I could not help taste :D
The funny thing is that I never eat fudge, but I just had to have some. That along with the wine.
But today is a new day!

Happy Monday!
I hope that everyone is staying warm. This weekend I did not go too crazy with my eating, which was good.
Anyways....I must get to work here...Santa is coming in 3 days, and I better be good!

Well it was nice to see that I managed to see the scales move.....down!
I also made suret that I did not buy anything to have in my house that would make me give into a craving. I just buy it from my children and they will have it eaten more than likly before I get home from work.
It is going to be another cold day here. Currently it is -24, with a nice wind out there making it more like -34! The joys of winter! I remember trying to describe to someone how cold it can get here by saying....go into your deepfreezer and see how cold that it.....well it is still colder outside at my house!
This time of year makes it testing with my teenaged daughter and I. See it is not cool to be warm, and she has a bit of a walk in the mornings. But, the good thing is, that it only takes a day or so walking to the school to get her to dress a little warmer! It is a good thing that it is just 5 mins down the street from us.

I was doing some lunch time surfing and I came across this web site
hungrygirl.com.
It had an amazing recipe that I just wanted to share for Faux delicious light eggnog:
Ingredients:
5 cups 8th Continent Light Vanilla Soymilk (or another light vanilla soymilk**)
1 package (1 oz.) JELL-O Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding mix, Vanilla
6 packets SPLENDA
1 tsp. rum extract
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions:
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend on high until mixed thoroughly. Refrigerate for a few hours to allow it to thicken. Makes five 1-cup servings!
