Gaining 0.1 kg a Week

I've been doing okay.. Got my 2 wisdom teeth out today. Still swollen, but the Lortabs are doing their job.. I feel good and no pain, but antsy and tired at the same time. Plus, I'm up listening to my son's cough.
The diet of soft foods may actually do me pretty well the rest of these 4-5 days. Lots of good soups, and frozen lowfat yogurt.. applesauce, and frozen fruit bars. Hopefully soon, I'll able to enjoy some meat.. Love that protein.
Oh, I did manage to gum a piece of Owen's pita pizza he had from McCallisters today... it was very good. lol.
Off to bed. Just wanted to record the loss from this morning.

Losing 1.7 kg a Week

I think once this cold leaves my body (It's almost done.. congestion is clearing up slowly, but leaving..), I will start back at Phase 1. Which means shopping is my future.
I have found this Wellness Tea that I'm just in love with.. with Agave Nectar to sweeten and a splash of milk. Plus, peppermint tea is yummy too..and helps with digestion and congestion.
I've been all about herbal healing with this cold.. and I'm glad, because I'm not drugged and more awake with my little one, who has the same cold as I do. Oh, and Vaporub..and cough drops.
I haven't weighed myself since starting the whole journaling thing, but I'm hoping to have lost something.. anything. Even if it's one pound, I'm happy with that. Small steps, Anya.. small steps.

Well, wisdom teeth removal had to be moved to next Friday, thanks to this lovely bronchitis/sinus infection that's taken over my body.
But I have managed to find something all natural to take... It's called Umcka cough/cold drops... It's a tincture (13% alcohol...) and tastes horrible, but makes me feel a little better. I also found a Hyland's Cold/Cough syrup for 2+ year olds..that is all natural also. Herbs are my friends these days, and it's better than having him suffer. Maybe it offers me more of a peace of mind but it seems to help him too.
I made this completely vegetarian taco soup last night with Morningstar grillers crumbles as the meat, and 2 kinds of beans, a can of rotel, chicken stock, canned corn, onion, bell pepper, and garlic, and taco seasoning.. OMG.. It was so good. I had it for a late lunch and my dinner too, with 2 ounces of cheddar slices. I totally love this time of year when soups and stews take hold in the house, and they just warm you up all over. Well, I guess a good cocktail could do that too.
I believe that I'm going just eat better for right now, until this cold goes away. I do need grains.. Maybe I can manage to do the phase 2 for right now, and then go back to phase 1 after I'm well.
I'm in need of some Vicks vaporub.. have a good one!
