I don't know where the entry I began went to.
I also had with breakfast 1T Omega 3 w 2g carb.
Once again, I didn't do Blood glucose until after the meal.147 so maybe Dawn Phenomenon.
So glad to find out what might be affecting the blood sugar and need to get more info on typical rises and falls.
I had tried 70 g of carbs for a few days and my blood glucose is too high.
When I was eating 40 g for a few days, it was ok.
I'm going to begin today 60 g for a week and see what happens.

I saw that after lunch my carb was at about 25% of my intake or about 42 gs. so I can have 18 more grams today today.
Supper - just took blood glucose 136 now. is hamburg meat w worcester sauce and cheese on top and some Fried Pork Skins. and my water and meds.

77 net gms carbs, 22% of this days food. Went to an NA meeting, spoke with sponsor, went to Spring Creek for 1/3 of the plate of Brisket,Italian Green Beans and Coleslaw. Had water 2 lemon juice in it. Then to Braums for a scoop of Sugar-free ice cream. This goes on Fridays after the 6:30 meeting, so I will plan for it. I will have 2 more servings of meat, and 1 serving each of the vegetables - I will hold onto that for Sunday, so I can keep the Sabbath better.

So for 08/04/15
Up and down many times last night, wish I could get an Kcal read for bathroom visits.
Been doing things in the apartment. Trying to get info for renewal of lease for another year, doing office work and studying things about diabetes.
Cooking, cleaning - low key day.
Got the sauerkraut started and put into the pantry which is dark and cool. Will try this out in 2 weeks.
Got out a bunch of my Low Carb cookbooks - Beat Sugar Addiction, Wheat Belly, and Atkins to check on recipes for some sauces and mixes I want to make up to have ready to go.
Been researching more on eliminating sugar addiction, and diabetes, got signed up for some sites to learn more, learned some acronyms for terms used, about Dawn Phenomenon - where the sugar goes up in the morning. I thought I'd been doing something wrong, but I'm not.
Just a little over my RDI, so happy.

This is actually for Mon 08/03/15
Fasted from 10 pm until 10 am.
Got Blood drawn at doctors for the 4 month testing.
Used my walker to hold the purse, 3 water bottles and other bag for out of house excursions.
So I was pushing that between bus rides.
Feel pretty good about getting to the therapists office,( good session - an alter we didn't know about came to the front and spoke - we also filled her in on what we've been doing re the problems we spoke of last session).
Also got directions to the next place we wanted to go.
So the errands we completed:
blood drawn - tolerated fairly well
Fed body in a timely manner - did remember to check blood glucose while out before the meal. 113 so not too bad. Needs to get below 100 before breakfast and supper.
Got buses ok. so we went to an area we hadn't been before and made the connections - when concerned we asked for help. Will try to plan for bathroom breaks before long time riding times.
Therapist visit
Got to the library - looked up United States of Tara to borrow it from library sometime. Borrowed 3 books on diabetes - for help in understanding it and for how to live with it. And 3 Peirs Anthony books that others in our system might like.
Deposited funds TL gave us into account so we can get the GoPass tomorrow.
Got some watermelon, more milk, and some other items for meals. Cabbage so to begin making sauerkraut.
Got home safe, but tired, not terribly achy. Didn't go to computer, watched tv for a bit catching up on shows.

Sunday 8/2/15
Got to visit with family - my youngest grand had her 4 year birthday. I went with my daughter to pick out a bicycle to replace her trike.
Good visit with everyone. Had a nice time with the middle grand, helped him sort and file his school papers since Pre-K to 4th grade.
I kept a low carb even with the small piece of birthday cake.
My daughter gave me supplies to make sauerkraut and a lot of GF packages. That will help my budget a lot.

01 August 2015

1st of the month, so I wanted to begin again.
At the doctor's Weds, I had to report to her about poor compliance checking the blood glucose and on the food. So of course I got a bit of a lecture.
I have to take this thing seriously: so to not cause any further damage to the body I need to try to get the blood glucose down to below 100. It had been while I was coming off sugar - I don't know what's going on now.

I saw the visiting nurse Friday, she finally got through to me that if I manage the diabetes, the other endocrine problems would also be helped.
I'd been feeling overwhelmed about all that I would have to do to learn and coordinate the procedures, and food plans.
I will be setting up my meds weekly and have a way to carry them with me when I'm out of the apartment.

I ride the bus most of the time, so it's hard sometimes to plan well for when I can have meals etc. I also have high pain levels all the time, so carrying a lot of stuff with me is hard and of course fairly low income so eating out would be a problem.

Oh, my gosh! I found FluffyChix and other sites with the most appealing, tasty recipes. I nearly want to cry it seems that prayers and hopes are being answered. this is doable. I've been so overwhelmed about how to handle everything. Nearly shut down cause it all has seemed like too much.

Because I have an inner family with different wants regarding food, getting everyone on the same page with doing this - restoring our health so we can accomplish what we want to in life is challenging.

And I can have MyFatSecret with me on my android phone - so glad I splurged to get one. This will make recording everything so much easier - cause I can post the blood glucose in the Journal and keep track of everything in one place. That's what's been needed.

So I'm aiming for a Keto or Paleo type food plan and have joined a couple groups and am ready to begin a challenge on Monday. I'd like to do a 90 day edging into paleo or maybe the hflc type plan I've seen.

My body seems to be very insulin resistant - judging by my blood sugar. So this would be great if I can get myself off of diabetic meds and have a better way of eating be natural and common for me to be doing.

I found out where I could pass an unlocked gate to get to the pool area where I live. So I did some water aerobics tonight. slowly, hopefully I won't be in lots of pain tomorrow.
