DANG IT. Thanksgiving and Birthday conspired to blow me off track. Then I got frustrated and stopped logging. I am back on it again, and tonight I run.
My running has been improving; not sure what tonight will hold after a week of being lazy. I am going to go out and exercise for an hour (jog as much as possible and walk the rest)

Birthday blow out on dinner last night. It was worth it. I had a great time with my wife and kids. Nice dinner and good company.
I can't believe I used to eat like that all the time without giving it a 2nd thought. 16oz steak and ice cream cake were the big offenders for calories and carbs. My blood sugar is high this morning (Duh), but not as bad as I had expected.
While I went into the evening knowing I was going to exceed my diet, it is still time to get back to work.

Back from my trip in Colorado. Overall I am pleased with how I did.
I didn't get to run. The altitude killed me just going up and down the stairs at my parents place. Then it snowed on Thursday - and it was too slick.
Eating wise, I did well except for Friday evening - I had a blow out on "bready" things and then ice cream. One evening of over indulging with Mom and Dad was worth it.
Played a lot of cards and helped them get a lot of stuff done around the place.
I missed my family and am very excited to be back home and back to my routine. Routine is my security blanket.
Finally, I faxed my glucose readings to my doctor this morning. She hasn't called yet. She usually calls at night; hopefully she will let me continue to push the numbers with diet and exercise.

Missed a journal entry yesterday - Oh Well.
I had a GREAT run last night. Longest distance and fasted pace since getting back to working out. Ran just shy of 3 miles (2.96) and did that at a 14:11 pace. I know that is not blistering, but I have come a long way in a month. I got to run with my daughter (she is usually busy with school or boyfriend) - great time.
I am still following my diet.
My sugars are definitely up, I suspect the diabetes doctor is going to put me back on some medicine next week. I will keep plugging away, maybe I can get them down in time to keep her at bay.
Finally, I am taking 3 days off work. I am headed to visit my folks in CO. Travel tonight, come home Sunday night. Tonight and Sunday will be the diet challenge - long travel times are hard on the diet. Airports and long drives really test the will power.
I intend to run in CO, which should really tax the lungs of this Texas boy.
