Well, I think it's time to move onto Phase 2. I'm not losing really fast, but I'm still inching down, and my body is feeling much better (which is what really counts!)
I do need to get more active, I think that would have a significant effect...but it looks like we're moving in a week or so..that maybe something I'll add once we get whereever we're going...for now, healthy eating will be enough of a challenge!

Losing 1.1 kg a Week
18 October 2007
I had to share this. I usually try to do the 15 minute zone pilates DVD in the morning, or the McDonalds strength DVD (they are all I have) but today I totally put it off. Then this afternoon, my 1.5 yr old brings me the zone trainer, saying "yeah?". So I figure, I'm not going to get a bigger hint than that. I wasn't really into it, but towards the end, while I'm struggling through the pelvic tilts, both boys sat beside me with a bowl of snacks, and the 3yr old looks at me and says "Mommy's pretty". I am feeling anything but, yet at that moment I'm positive I must have started to beam!! Then he looks at his brother and says "She's helping those muscles, good job!".
There it is, melted my heart thoroughly. The struggles don't compare to the rewards! And to think I've been contemplating all afternoon about walking to the store to get a chocolate bar...although I must admit, I did eat a couple of the chocolate bits out of my son's cereal...but they're dark chocolate, lol!

Day 4. I cheated...I weighed myself this morning, with great success! I'm the lowest I've been since my last pregnancy!! But I'm finding the afternoons the most difficult...not sure if it's the stress or what, but I WANT CHOCOLATE or CHIPS or SOMETHING. So I'm sitting here looking for motivation/distraction online, and it's working. Plus, I'm drinking a v8/tomatoe juice with some cayenne pepper for a little bite. I don't like tomatoe juice, but it's so much cheaper than the vegetable juice...so mixing and adding the cayenne has made it into a nice drink. If I had the ingredients, I'd have a virgin caesar right now, lol! Yum!

Losing 3.2 kg a Week
17 October 2007
Well we are at day 3, and things are going fine. It's a little difficult as I don't have an oven, or a microwave...just a stove top, and a knock off george foreman type grill. Plus, I can't find some of the ingredients for the recipes in the SB book & SB cookbook...no part mozza cheese sticks here in Holland, lol!! So, I have relied on Walnuts for a snack. I was really lacking motivation these first few days, which is ironic, since I could just look in a mirror and that should snap me back onto the diet bandwagon! But it really helps snooping through this website, I'm so glad I found it. I'm putting off weighing myself, hopefully I can wait a whole week...of course I like to weigh daily.
Thanks for the comments! I feel so much less alone!
Oh, and with regards to the flowers, they are still looking great! And they were super cheap, 1,50 euros for a bouquet of 20 roses!! One of the great perks of living in Holland!!
