So far I am doing OK on South Beach. Its been 3 days carb free and I can honestly say, that I have nov cravings for anything carb-like... so I am thrilled about that! I am experiencing some not so nice side affects from not really eating enough fiber since there is no carbs and no fruit for the next 2 weeks, but I will get past that. I have not gotten on the scale, I don't want to until the end of the week when my body levels off from the carb-free diet.

I booked my flight today for my vacation in Florida! I have 11 weeks until I leave and I would like to be at 220 pounds... so 11 weeks to lose 23 pounds... I think I can do it! I am so psyched to see my Aunt, she has so much awesome stuff planned. While I am there, I am looking for a job and home in the Ocala area... with any luck something will come through and life will be grand! I hate it here in Dirty Jersey.....

I finally got some answers on my neck/headaches... evidently there is no sign of arthritis or fracture in my neck X-rays, but I have lost complete curvature of my neck and this is bringing on the neck pain and the headaches.... hopefully the doc can semi-correct it.

Another snow day tomorrow, so that means I am stuck in the house.. bored out of my mind and losing a day of pay =( ... well I will try to make the most of it and catch up on some sleep and do a good long workout!

Today was kind of a lazy day for me. I went and got my nails done, which took like 2hours off my day and then when I came home I baked cookies for the kids, made dinner and finally I decided to Zumba. I don't even know if I am doing the moves properly... that game goes so fast, but I know I am moving around and working up quite a sweat, so even if I am doing it wrong, I am at least burning calories. According to the Zumba game, I burned 872 calories, I am a little bit skeptical of that.. I did not think it was possible to burn that much in an hour of exercise... I used that as my guideline, but I also found a website that has a calculator to determine calories burned in Zumba. I averaged the 2 numbers and ended up using the average as my actual calories burned.

I am really liking Zumba, which surprises me, because I tried it a long time ago and just couldn't do it.. but at that time, I was using disc so I think that took some of the fun out of it and now that it a game and it calculates everything for you and lets you create goals to meet, I really like that. I am trying to switch off every day between the Wii Fit or walking and the Zumba.

My fiancé actually said to me tonight that I am going to get all skinny and leave him.. talk about insecurity! But he also said he would join the gym with me and go 3 nights a week, so we'll see what happens there.

Tomorrow is my first real day on phase 1 of South Beach. I have already decided that from now on, I will get up a half hour earlier so that I can eat breakfast at home at 7 instead of at work at 10. I will probably just have some scrambled eggs and lunch is chicken salad.... dinner is not even in my mind yet, so i better decide quickly!

I am still reading the book anyway so I feel like there are a million things for me to learn still... I am hoping this low carb thing works for me... especially since I wanna drop a good amount of weight before I go to Florida.
