I'm restarting an effort to record my weight. I've decided to try to combine Weight Watchers point system with Shangra-La Diet. I'll have to play around with SLD as it hasn't been working for me as well now as it did in the past. Or it may be that it is taking longer to gear up.
I *have* noticed how it's already cut my cravings for sugary and chocolatey foods so the natural calorie restricting without hunger may come along soon. In the meantime I'm using Weight Watchers to also re-train my eating habits to be more healthy and filling.

Sigh...
I am going to have to find a way to make the ELOO more palatable. The longer I take it the more I dislike it and end up falling off the bandwagon (and of course my carb/sugar cravings come back soon after). Anyone have suggestions on how to make taking the ELOO more palatable? Right now I just pour out into a measuring spoon and gulp it down but that just gets me gagging.
I used to never have this reaction when I started. I don't want to give it up or switch to sugar water (don't like the idea of spiking my body with sugar in any form). And I want to stick with SLD because I know for me - when I adhere to it - it works and works very well. If I can just get past the awful tongue-coated-with-oil sensation I'll be fine and on my way to losing weight again.
I'm 20 lbs away from my goal. So close. If I can lose this last 20 lbs and keep it off I'll have officially lost 100 lbs from when I first began my weight loss journey 2.5 years ago.
Any suggestions on getting the ELOO down would be appreciated.

Fell off the Shangra-La bandwagon and regained 7 lbs. For 2008 I'm going to keep at it until I lose the final 22 lbs. and keep it off.

Morning scale now reads 139 consistently. That's more like it - loss by a single digit makes me happy. That means it's likely fat burned and not muscle.
