Started back on Atkins. Any suggestions to get a good start would be much appreciated. I have 75 to lose and I am hoping to drop fast at first. I need some good advice at how to get through induction. I have been eating salads at lunch, but need some suggestions as for dinner. Thanks!

I really like buying whole chickens, and roasting them in the oven. I rub them with butter, and also pop a few small pieces of butter under the chicken skin (hey, if you're gonna do Atkins, do it right!). Then I munch on it for dinners, and use it on my salads for lunch. As to good advice for getting through induction- follow it to the letter, keep away from nasty artificial sweeteners, and take this time to break your sweets cravings, if you have any.

sweet cravings are really hard for me, but those atkins bars are yummy!! I try to do one maybe two a week. I love the chocolate fudge brownie!

I just started, but I find it's nice to cook chicken in batches (whole or just pieces). A side of steamed broccoli or stir-fried zucchini is tasty as well. I put plenty of butter on the zucchini to make it extra-tasty. I'm also looking forward to trying a garlic butter rubbed sirloin recipe I found in my Atkins cookbook later this week. It was served with salad with a light vinagrette in the book. I also like kielbasa and saurkrat which I think is induction-friendly. Two things I like to keep in my fridge for a quick meal are hard-boiled eggs and shredded chicken for a salad. One of my pre-Atkins Atkins-friendly favorite meals is salad is spring greens mixed with shredded chicken and ginger-soy dressing-- after a few weeks of Atkins I can add pine nuts which makes it even tastier. I also like tuna salad.
