I'm determined to make this week a good one, despite the fact that Aunt Flo is due to arrive again on Friday...Already??? How did that happen????

This morning didnt' start to plan when my son seemed a bit unwell. He is still full of a cold and I wasn't sure whether or not he would be best in school at home. ANywa, he had his meds and he's gone to school. I felt a little bad but I think he's better off there - I'm sure he's forgotten he's got a cold while he's playing with his friends! With all the palava I didn't have time for breakfast and was meeting a friend for coffee in the supermarket cafe this morning. I'm glad it was the supermarket and not cafe nero as my food choices were a whole lot easier! I avoided the cooked items - lovely though they looked - and opted for cornflakes and milk so I was proud to have stayed on track despite the change in plan.

I've got soup in the fridge for lunch, I made the sweet potato and chilli last Friday and there is still some left :) Tonight I think I am going to try making the curry......I'll see what I fancy having a go at! Either curry, laksa or chilli! I could eat them all!

I've just spent half an hour hoovering the car in the hope that someone will buy it soon!!!!! Only 3 days until I am carless!!

Urgh, here we go again with another 12 hour shift in work.....reporting on the delights and delectations of the UK's roads....wonderful.

I've had a couple of slices of toast so far....and two cups of tea....I'm hoping I can stay on some kind of track today but I do find it difficult with such a long a shift :S

I did the shopping yesterday, normally don't do it it Monday so it feels good that it's all done and dusted. This week's menu consists of sweetcorn soup for lunches and for dinners: cauliflower and potato curry, vegetarian laksa and veggie chilli....all new recipes so it makes for an exciting week. I must get myself sorted on the exercise front again as well.

One big change this week is that, after today, it's going to be a bread free week! It always makes me feel bloated and uncomfortable, as much as I love the stuff, so I'm going to see what a difference it can make if I cut it out.

As from Thursday I have no car for about 6 weeks. Shock horror I know! My old one has failed it's MOT and I am awaiting delivery on a new one but it's not due until 12th June. It will interesting....to see how I get on without it, to say the least! It may do my weight loss a lot of good...or it could just drive me insane (excuse the drive pun.....I won't be driving anywhere!).

So that's it for today so far......have a wonderful Sunday everyone. I hope your weather is better than ours - dark, dull, dreary and wet....must be in Manchester! hehehehe

Thank you for all the lovely comments yesterday. I'm feeling so un-motivated at the moment - is that even a word??!!! I nearly didn't log on today. I'm feeling rotten with this cold, I've not cooked anything all week, it's all been comfort food and this morning I'd put on a lb. I feel low and like I'm failing. I always always do this. Start with such good plans and intentions, lose a fair amount and then bugger it all up again.

I'm sorry, I know I'm just whining and moaning. I'm going to try to make soup for lunch today, I don't feel like it but my plan is to force myself to in about 40 mins. Maybe that will snap me out of it. I'll weigh again tomorrow and use that as this week's official figure. Maybe if I can be good today it may not be too bad. I don't think it's helping that I bought a loaf of bread with this week's shopping. I'm always very bloated after eating bread and I've been having about 4 slices a day with toast for brek and either a sandwich or soemthing on toast for lunch. It's a brown multi seeded one, which I love, but it obviously doesn't agree with me. I think I'll try to do without altogether next week......
