There goes another bank holiday weekend and it would have been nice if AUnt Flo had taken her leave with it but alas I have another few days to go on the uterus battering front. Having said that, the scales showed a 2lb loss this morning taking me back down to my last weigh in so that's a relief. Another two days to go to come in with a nice loss now.

Life without a car is a nightmare! Just awful! I don't know how people cope without one! It's more the expense of everything - after an hour waling round town today I wanted to get home fairly quickly to get some jobs done and I was astounded at the cost of the bus! This afternoon I have to get Harry home from school on the bus - in fact I am going to have to do it most days - and if this morning is anything to go by it's going to cost a fortune! Roll on 12th June when I can pick up my new wheels!

Foodwise I think I'm OK for this week. I can't imagine anything out of the usual cropping up and we did the weekly shopping yesterday. I got some quorn chilled bacon strips too so had a vege bacon butty for lunch - just scrumptious - and very low points too.

I think I'll make soup for lunch today - at least that's the plan. If not I'll make it tomorrow. I'm also going to have a go at making a frozen yoghurt with summer fruits dessert! I'll let you know how I go!

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone :)

Another Sunday - already! I don't know where the weeks go! I'm currently being battered from the inside by dear ol' Aunt Flo and I will be very glad when she packs her bags and trundles back off from whence she came!

As is always the case, Sunday means my 12 hour shift in work. It is currently 11:15 and I am counting down the minutes until I can rush over the road to the cafe for lunch! I've had 2 shredded wheat so far and I will be partaking in a fine jacket spud for my lunch....the veg massala I had in it last week was divine so I'm planning to head down that route again I think.

Yesterday didn't go so well on the food front, my own fault really for not having planned ahead well enough. As lunch time approached I was very aware that the cupboards were bare (ooh that rhymed!) but I didn't do anything about it. And so, come 2pm, I was starving and we headed to the chippy .....humph. I had a chip bap. My dh pinched a few chips so I didn't eat all of them...just most of them along with a few dips of curry sauce. To add insult to injury I fell at the next hurdle, which happened to be a McDonalds where I stumbled mouth first into a Smarties McFlurry.

It got worse. Don't get me wrong I was so full it wasn't funny - so we headed to the sea front and had a lovely hour's walk as my son rode his bike. The plan had been to get an Indian take away to eat whilst watching the sea. We'd almost decided not to - we weren't hungry...until we smelt it on the way out....

To be fair I only had about one poppadom and maybe 4 spoonfuls of my curry. I brought the rest home and I am going to have it for dinner when I get home tonight. So that is the weekend so far! Oh yes and I have booked a couple of days in SPain at the end of June to see my Dad. That's a lovely break to aim for. Summer clothes here I come!!!!

It's a loss so I thought I'd record it before Aunt Flo arrives with her extra baggage!

I think the day at the playbarn went OK, one too many coffees maybe but I opted for a jacket potato for lunch. I had roasted veg and mozzarella on it but there wasn't much cheese there at all and no butter on the potato. it was a fairly dry experience really. dh made a chinese meal for dinner and that pointed in at 6 points so I'm on track and still have 5 points spare, as long as I've pointed lunch OK. I had 4 points carried over from yesterday though.

I really felt better this morning - pulled on some jeans that were fairly uncomfortable to find that they now fit well :) YAY!!!

Tomorrow, Harry is back to school. We're getting a couple of lifts to and from school but I'm also going to walk the other direction. So we get a lift to school and then I'll walk home and vice versa. I'm sure it will do me a world of good. I'm looking forward to it.

Hope everyone's having a good day :)

So far so good - despite the 'fly by the pants' week I'm having!! My 5 year old is still home with me, he's probably well enough for school really but the school is closed tomorrow due to local elections anyway so I thought it best to keep him home today. Best to get over it properly and go back at full health.

Anyway, we ended up going out for dinner after my dh got home last night but we just headed for subway. I'm still avoiding the bread so I had a veggie delite salad bowl and it was lovely. Harry wanted an ice cream from McDonalds on the way back but I stood strong and had a coffee instead. I was very proud!

This morning I do feel better and as if I'm back on track although the imminant arrival of Aunt Flo isn't helping. Still, I'm doing OK and I'm determined to stick to it!

Just arranged to go to see a friend tomorrow and go to the playbarn with Harry. That will probably involve having lunch there so I'd better be on my best behaviour! Either a baked potato or soup I think :)

Oh well, have a good day everyone!
