I cheated. But how bad? I guess I will find out on Wednesday.
Here are the things I did right:
- Piled up on turkey prior to anything else on Christmas
- Controlled myself arounf desserts... but I did let myself have a little
- Avoided alchohol for the most part - there was no need
- Continued with a high protein regiment in the mornings.
What I did wrong:
- Said ok to the cheesecake, although the peice was very small
- Had to much sodium... I was no nearly mindful enough
- Fell to peer pressure...
Today is a new day and a new week. I will get right back on track... starting this second. In fact starting last night... :)

This was the week I needed to stay motivated. After weeks of nothing, this makes me feel like my work if catching up to me. And it is going to give me the push to not ruin what I have done thus far with tempting holiday foods.

I have been feeling very good this week. My energy is up and I think that eating more proteins and less carbs has really helped! More protein is also helping with my cravings. More proteins = Fuller longer.
Body pump twice a week has been good and I tried a new cardio class this past weekend that was pretty fun - a mix of zumba and african style dance. I was not very good at it but I guess what matters is that I was up, moving and pushing my heart rate up, for about an hour.
The holidays are tough but to be honest, I have been really good - avoiding cookies, cakes and all of the other delights that make this season tough. This weekend I would like to make a sweet and a savory dish to take with my to Chad's mom's house... but I want the recipes to be healthy!
Any ideas?
