My closing weight for the 3-day fast challenge...only it was 4 days for me. I started my weight tracking yesterday, but its nice to see I may have lost 1 lb since then.
I need to see what happens once I start feeding again.

I just tested my blood glucose (just before sunset here) and I got a reading of 109, better than I've seen in at least a year or two!
This is certainly good motivation to stay on my eating plan. I'm trying hard not to get too ecstatic, but I am really pumped right now :)

I'm just over 2.5 days into a fast and I'm feeling extremely relaxed. I think this might be "actual" fasting. I can't quite describe it, but I compare it to how I felt as a child - carefree, no sense of pressure, a lazy sunny afternoon.
I don't know if it is what those who fast usually feel.
It might be due to my blood glucose having come down to an 'elevated safe level' for a sustained time and my body is no longer in panic mode for the first time in a while.

I just got my own scale for home and weighed myself.
I'm certain that my first weigh record here was wrong. My starting weight was probably actually below 250 lbs at the time. (It was made on a scale that only went up to 200 and I had to estimate by how far it swung through 200 and back up from 1.)
Still, now that I have my own scale at home I will be posting weights from it and I expect my weight record going forward will be much closer to accurate.

p.s. I went back and deleted my original weigh in. It was certainly inaccurate and I can't tell by how much. It seems better to start the weight record fresh even after a few days on diet and fast than have something I know is off as the baseline.

My blood glucose ticked up from this morning even though I haven't taken anything but supplements. I'm finding myself pretty down by this - right now I'm having to work hard to avoid the temptation to give up and just eat.
Theoretically, this is just a bump in the road and things might be better tonight, and almost certainly better tomorrow.
Emotionally it is very different.
