Okay, I was at the massage therapist yesterday. He specializes in the pressure-points and keeping my lymph moving. This lymph moving thing is especially important in that arm and side where the surgeon extracted nearly every lymph node--possibly all of them. If you don't know--it can be life-threatening to get a build up of fluid. In the minor scenario, you are in a lot of pain. Getting the situation reversed is an arduous task. I am very fortunate. I keep after this to prevent the return of an arm being twice as large as the other.

Anyhow--he was like a cheerleader. He says I don't realize how much I am changing. Every time he sees me, there is a dramatic change, and I don't notice it. I am sure he is right. I also had acupuncture right after the massage. This two-appointment scenario gives me the most bang for the dollar. (ha) I had been given a small scholarship that allowed me to have three treatments and I made them go as far as possible--spreading them two-weeks apart. I am hoping that I will be able to have one such visit a month. That would be awesome.

I was thrilled to see the scale drop another pound this morning. It had just been sitting tight at the 204 mark. Yesterday we went to the birthday party for the youngest Great Granddaughter. OMG --well, there was bacon wrapped pork and chicken legs--off the BBQ. There were a salad and some ranch dressing. I went extremely light on that salad dressing. I snuck one taste of Ashley's buttercream frosting off the cake plate. I truly avoid sugar. Well, this morning I was down the pound. I hope I drop more soon. Hurrah!

Yup, as I said the weight-thingy is a stair-step pattern for me. Well, if I were not so finicky I could wear suspenders as Cliff keeps mentioning. Uh--I just want to say, "No!" There was a mess up front--the darned composter upchucked and I got news that I needed to clean it up. Well, shoot! How am I going to shovel and keep my britches up too?!?

The cash flow is running low or I would just go buy another pair of jeans that I like. My shirts are looking like crap, too! I have a few that don't look terrible but most are nothing I want to be seen in. Reading this you would think I am a Diva and clothes hog. I am not. I didn't have much to begin with and so it is getting tough to dress. I am a woman who likes to have two pairs of jeans--one to wear and one to wash. Some socks--not many, two pairs of undies and two bras. Two pairs of shoes --for every day and possibly something a bit nicer. Typically, I don't have the nicer thing. I wear what I have. I prefer to have a few simple tops that work for me and look decent or even a bit better than decent.

I am contemplating trying to insert some elastic in the back of the jeans, but as my husband points out (thank God I have this man) I don't have a butt. So, when I get pants which fit the ample ladies they make me look like I dropped a load back there. I fear gathering them will do that, too!

Isn't it grand to have this kind of issues? If ever I am not listed as obese it would be a great day for me. I was once very thin but that has been a long time ago. Anyhow, I am slimmer and looking (and feeling) healthier. That is what my journey is all about. Maybe if I get new clothing I can take a photo.
