I'm excited about tonight. My boyfriend and I are going out to dinner with his daughter and son-in-law and we haven't seen them in a few months. They are awesome people. Anyways, we are going to a place called J.Alexanders. Never been there before but the menu looks yummy. Steak, Prime Rib, Salmon, Salads, Calamari, you name it. Should actually be pretty easy to keep my carbs low and yet enjoy an awesome meal. It's been awhile for sure.
Other than that, holding steady. I've been so bad about journaling so I need to start that again...it sure helps! I think I'm re-focused though...it's like 44 days til Mexico...44 days to lose 20lbs...well, probably not going to happen but I'd be thrilled with another 10 by then!

Ok, this was a tough week! I gained from challenge start and just had a really hard time watching what I was eating...but I did it..and I think I'm back on track now.
TOM made a surprise visit 2 weeks earlier than I had expected...that ended up explaining A LOT! But, I'm back on track, it's a new week and I'm determined to see a loss by next weigh in.

Losing 0.2 kg a Week
02 October 2008
Well, my scale hates me...but I'm determined to win him over. Maybe I should name it and let him know we're in this together? Right now I think he's sick of me trying to break it's back or something.
Anyways, I ate better yesterday and plan on even better today. I had a little pep talk after my argument with the scale this morning and reminded myself that I'm trying to maintain a lifestyle here, not a quicky fad diet, so enjoying a little bit extra for a day isn't anything to beat myself up over.
This challenge is 6 weeks, so I need to focus on the overall and not beat myself up if I gain a tad in one week.
Go Cardinals! We can do this!!!

sigh. Ok. I saw this one coming. I had more than 20NC of beer alone watching football and NASCAR on Sunday and then last night even though they were low carb tortillas, I got suddenly really hungry and ate like three burritos....smothered. Just slightly off the wagon, eh?
BUT, Never fear! I'm going to down the water today, eat right...and less...and watch the beer for sure...I have the past two days but I knew sunday was going to catch up with me...it always seems to have a 24 or 48 hour delay on the scale. I'm thrilled though that I didn't pop back up to 140. I felt stuck at that weight for awhile and now that I'm in the 130's I need to refocus and continue on...and also not beat myself up when I screw up like last night. ...did I mention the bites of ice cream....does it count that it was CarbSmart ice cream? Probably not after 3 smothered burritos.
Thought I better step up and admit my oops! Hopefully I can break even by the official weigh in for the week!
Have a great day all!

Gaining 3.1 kg a Week
30 September 2008
Ok, today I need to refocus and get on this latest challenge. I want to help my team stay motivated to stick with this challenge, because it did me wonders last month!
This past week I strayed from journaling my food and exercise...mainly because i was sick of journaling cottage cheese (which I'm eating right now) over and over....but that's no excuse! I want us Cardinals to soar!!!
So, I'll start with the food entry again.
I still want to lose another 15+lbs so I'm setting my NC goal for this week to be 20 or less. I'm going to watch my beer intake to make sure I'm not wasting so much carbs on that...with that said though... I'll still be partaking in my only vice.
I'm back to doing my crunches nightly and walking at lunch.
Nothing has changed since my final weigh in for the prior challenge, so those numbers will stick going forward. Hopefully I can drop a couple more inches by that time!!!
Good luck everyone and GO CARDINALS!
