Okay so it has officially been forever since I've written here, and that's mostly because I've been so busy with school and a sprained ankle that even though I've been working out, I haven't been eating well so I've gained weight. I've been self conscious about uploading my weight, since I wasn't happy with myself and the fact that I've eaten nothing but crap.
Over the last 4 weeks, I did workout almost every day, and I would push myself to the limit on stationary bicycles and upper body strength workouts. I even did some abs. But because I ate junk, I didn't lose any weight. What's worse, I gained inches. I don't feel good, both health wise and emotionally.
I was starting to get really bored with the constant bicycling, and my ankle was feeling better, so I ran for the first time in 4 weeks yesterday! I took it real slow, never exceeding 5 mph, and running in 100 m spurts with 50 m walking in between each spurt. I did this six times, since that was what was recommended for my first time running. It felt GREAT to run. I never EVER thought I'd miss running like this. I hate running, but it felt really good to run. After running, I made sure I stretched, and since my ankle was a wee bit tender (really not that bad, but it did feel a little sore), I used a heating pack and took some ibuprofen. Today, my ankle is a little sore, but it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as when I sprained it. I'm pretty sure it just hurts because I haven't hardly used it for 4 weeks and I just worked it. Nevertheless, I'm going to probably do some yoga today so that I don't overdo it right off the bat. Besides, apparently, practicing balance is the surest way to prevent further sprains!
Thanks to everyone who read this far, and keep up the good work!

Didn't end up doing much other than abs yesterday, since I had a lot of homework to get done and I somehow managed to tweak my ankle getting into my car (don't ask - I don't even know what happened). But I'm looking forward to getting a short workout in today :) Gotta get that heart pumping! Also, at least I ate right yesterday, and still lost a little weight last night :) So, today should be golden!
Mostly I'm going to focus on rehydrating today. Apparently, yesterday I got super dehydrated somehow. I've had about 80 oz so far, but since I'm used to having like 130 - 150 oz of water a day, it's really not that much. Also, I tend to hydrate most at the start of the day and then only drink a little bit in the evening. Hopefully I can get my fluids back up today!

Gosh, I'm sore today, but in a good way. Mostly it's my hip flexors and my abs that are hurting, which is good! I'm also down like 2 lbs from yesterday, which is good. I'm hoping to keep eating sensibly and then get out of this rut!
I'm not sure what we're going to do for our workout today, but we thought it would be best to stagger abs days and strength days so that we don't pile it all on one day every other day. Maybe we'll do Kenpo today... not sure!
I've got some homework to do today, so I'm glad I'm feeling a little more awake and focused than I did yesterday. Hopefully it won't take me too long to get done and I can have some time to myself today!

Well, I'm feeling a little less foggy today, and I did get a workout in yesterday which helped! I had a really big breakfast, so I'm trying to eat better throughout the day, which shouldn't be that big of a problem. I'm going to do my best to have only a lean protein and a fibrous veggie for dinner today instead of having a super high cal dinner. I love salad, so it should be delicious!
My workout buddy and I talked about our workout plan and why not being able to run is ACTUALLY KILLING US. We both want to run SO bad, which I have to say is a first in my life. But I think it's mostly that we hate having to bike for 30 min straight of just boredom. So, we're going to do abs before we even go to the gym. Then we're going to do 15 min of biking and then do a little strength. Then we're going to finish everything with 15 more min of biking :) I think breaking it up will give us the change we need to stay motivated!
