Still losing some. I can feel this is the time to be a bit more vigilant. Travel this week (first time since CoVid ). One of the things I like about travel is the opportunity to sample local foods. I guess the word “sample” is the operative.. I do note that pull-ups continue to improve. I now lift more than half my body weight. I even tested back to the level of assist that I began the journey…yes I can feel marked improvement… just work the plan Bill, work the plan…

I’m blown away by the food presentations on this app. Most look so good you wanna snatch a taste through the screen (no really). I’m a good cook. As a single dad I learned how to cook well. As I’m getting older I notice my appetite has changed. I remember the phrase, “discipline is a gentle thing”. I get that now. This app is a gentle thing. A way of conveying information to this stubborn one. Back to food, so far I maintain a caloric deficit, while increasing my activity levels. Using that method, no matter what I eat (as long as I’m honest), if I maintain the deficit I’ll be ok… However…however, I’m beginning to feel that although simply maintaining the deficit will support weight loss, what is the quality of the loss? (If anyone is reading this I’m simply thinking out loud) I mean, if I eat 2000 calories of twinkies daily (deficit), I suspect the result would be different if I made a slightly healthier choice. The photos of food, and all the ideas…good stuff…I mean gruel six days a week! Time to expand…wait!

Ok, I'm now claiming I met my goal (225), but I feel like there is more..not just the scale but overall fitness. The clothes definitely fit better, but this gut! Smaller to be sure, but it's the last thing to get in line! Oh what a world! Just gotta keep plugging away...one day, one lift, each step at a time!
